Finding Harmony in Silence and Yearning

Perhaps you heard it! (though probably not).

It’s there between melody and harmony.

Hidden in the rhythm and at the end of every dot.

Elusive. If you look for it

I doubt that you will find.

Knowledge says that it exists,

But it’s hidden to the mind.

Experience is where it’s found,

Once touched, once dreamed

Like a silent siren.

It draws you back.

To grasp at it, to steal it away

Is to lose it.

It’s there in sighs and yearnings,

In the seekings of the heart.

Between the Sanctus and the Bells

A solemn, celestial art.

Reverence is the portal

As is awe and stillness.

In the dawn of day and time.

It shows its strength.
